Medical Records Management
Southern Record Systems works with many healthcare companies in Decatur and the surrounding area. We have many measures in place to keep medical records secure and follow HIPAA standards.
Some of the ways that we protect our files:
- Customer chooses who is authorized to access file and we keep a copy of those signatures on file
- No one is allowed into the file storage area, unless accompanied by a Southern Record Systems employee
- File cartons are not labeled with the customer names or other identifying marks
- Customer file cartons are not typically stored together
- Southern Record Systems employees are trained and supervised to ensure file security
